Our Story

We’re a family based business dedicated to changing the lives of families and children in communities around the globe. We serve all kids, regardless of ability. Our unstructured play model has been designed to help kids develop fundamental developmental skills such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, social skills and speech and language skills. ​

Our cutting edge and proprietary programs and classes have been designed and developed by our team of pediatric therapists to enhance childhood development. Little Land is a fun place for all kids, but is also a place where they grow and develop together. With limited technology, we encourage families to get back to basics – and to have fun together!

Debbie Garcia Beltz graduated in 2001 from Florida International University as an Occupational Therapist. Over the years, she worked with children in hospitals, outpatient clinics and in their homes. Throughout her career and while expanding her skills and helping children through therapy, her dream of creating a place for kids to have fun, develop and grow was ignited.​

Debbie and her husband, Ernie, first started brainstorming the idea of Little Land in early 2014. As they planned their own family, they wanted to create something that would benefit all families in their community. Debbie’s lifelong dream to create a place for kids was becoming a reality. Over the course of the following year, Debbie and Ernie researched and planned the first Little Land Pediatric Therapy & Play Gym that opened in April of 2015 in Austin, Texas. ​

At Little Land, families come together to have fun and play… all while growing and becoming stronger. With an increase in technology in homes and surrounding children, the fundamental skill of play is often forgotten. At Little Land, we offer something that seems quite simple – play. ​

With the increase in technology and decrease in unstructured activities in the lives of children, the most prescribed activity by pediatricians is play.
